By Kyle M. OltmanGeorgia Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart announced Wednesday that the Georgia football program will add two more defensive linemen, adding defensive end Brandon Jackson and defensive tackle Tyler Jones.
The Bulldogs added defensive lineman Trey Brown and defensive end Deandre Jackson, both from Georgia Tech, in the 2017 recruiting class.
The 6-foot-6, 250-pound Brown (6-2, 260) will join the defensive line rotation as he prepares for his senior season.
Jackson (6’1, 260), a defensive end from Georgia Southern, will be a depth addition for Georgia’s defense, which ranked in the top 10 in the country for defense last season.
Jones (6′, 252), a junior college transfer, will fill a need at the position and will be added to the rotation for his junior year.
Georgia Tech will receive a commitment from defensive end Jordan Johnson, who has been committed to the Bulldogs for some time.
