It was only a matter of time before the UGA staff found a new head coach and recruiting coordinator, according to a report from The Associated Press.
According to the AP, UGA has hired Paul Mirer as its new recruiting coordinator and recruiting assistant to replace Todd Grantham who was fired on Dec. 1.
Mirer was in the U.S. Army as a recruit and was stationed at Camp Lejeune, N.C.
The AP also said Mirel’s salary will be $1,420,000 a year.
The news was first reported by ESPN.
The UGA coaching staff will hire former Clemson offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator Steve Addazio, who will also be the interim head coach, according the AP.
The university also hired former Michigan offensive coordinator Brad Underwood, who is currently the defensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles.
