How to win the 2020 football recruiting battle with the Illini

The biggest challenges for any program heading into the 2020 season are the big-time recruits.

Illinois is no different, with a class of more than 70 recruits.

The Illini were able to recruit two of them in the class of 2020.

Illini head coach Jim Harbaugh told reporters at the Big Ten Media Day, “We are getting to the point where you can be successful, and we’re getting to that point.

We are getting there.”

The two Illini recruits in the 2018 class, quarterback Jordan Smith and defensive end Ryan Diggs, are expected to sign soon.

Smith was the top player on the 2017 Illinois recruiting class, according to 247Sports.

He was a five-star prospect who committed to the Illinis in August.

He is currently a graduate transfer who is considering Illinois.

Diggs, a five to seven-star recruit, is ranked as the No. 14 prospect in the country.

He committed to Illinois in July and is currently committed to Florida.

The two recruits in 2019 are expected, along with two others in the 2019 class, to sign with the Bears in the next two weeks.

Drake Wilson, a four-star offensive tackle, is expected to announce his commitment in the coming days.

Wilson is a five star recruit, according for 247Sports, who has committed to Ohio State, Michigan State, USC and Ohio.

He previously committed to Northwestern.

The Bears are currently ranked No. 1 in the nation, according in the 247Sports Composite Rankings, but the program is already in transition mode.

They will open the 2020 regular season with a home game against Wisconsin on Nov. 1.
