MIAMI HEAT: ROTATION WATCH: The Heat look to build a title contender

MIAMI — Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra will not make a decision on the future of forward Josh McRoberts or guard Hassan Whiteside until after the NBA draft on Friday.

McRoberts was placed on season-ending injured reserve Thursday with a torn ACL.

Whiteside had surgery on his right knee Thursday.

Spoelstrap said Friday that he will wait until after Friday’s NBA draft to make a determination on the two.

McRoughes and Whiteside are among several Heat players who have been suspended in recent weeks after being arrested in connection with a violent home invasion in Miami.

Spoeltra has said that he’s waiting for the league’s independent investigation to finish before deciding whether to bring Whiteside back for a fourth season.

“We’ve got to make sure that we’re not missing anything,” Spoelstone said Thursday.

“We’re just going to continue to evaluate and see where we are.”

McRoberts, 21, is the Heat’s fifth-leading scorer with 19.4 points per game and has three triple-doubles in the past six games.

Whitesides averages 14.8 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists in his past two games.
