Georgia basketball recruiting: ‘We’re still getting it’

Georgia basketball coach Kirby Smart is continuing to recruit, but it appears he’s been too focused on his own program’s success.

Smart’s commitment to Georgia basketball and the Bulldogs has been in the news for a few weeks now, but the Bulldogs have been on top of recruiting and their recruitment is still showing promise.

Georgia basketball is currently ranked No. 6 in the 247Sports Composite and is projected to be No. 2 in the 2019 class, according to 247Sports.

Georgia is the only school to have two players committed in the class of 2019 and the other is sophomore guard Markel Brown.

The Bulldogs are set to begin their recruiting class on March 9, 2019.

Georgia’s 2019 class has a combined 247Sports ranking of No. 4, according a 247Sports composite ranking of the best 100 recruits for 2019.

Smart is currently the top-ranked prospect for the 2019 recruiting class, and the top two prospects in the 2018 class are also currently in the top 10 prospects in that class.

The Bulldogs’ 2018 recruiting class has an 247Sports listing of No.”9 and a 247 Sports ranking of “No.1” in the country.

The 2018 recruiting rankings have the Bulldogs in the No. 1 spot.

The 247Sports rankings are based on a composite ranking system, which takes into account a player’s height, weight, height/weight ratio, arm length, wingspan, wingspans, wingscore, and overall athleticism.

The top 200 recruits in 2019 and 2020 are listed on the 2019 and 2021 lists, respectively.
